ABOUT US…

Sing Out, Sister! began in April 2022. Directors, Liz and Clare, wanted to create a place for women of all ages to come together and sing songs that you wouldn’t expect a women’s choir to sing. Bored with traditional women’s choir repertoire, Liz and Clare set about seeking out or writing new arrangements of songs they loved to sing… Erasure, Fleetwood Mac, Guns n Roses, Lady Gaga, Scissor Sisters, Primal Scream and U2 are amongst many to have received the Sing Out, Sister treatment!

Singing to support wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. Rehearsals are friendly and fun but also provide everyone with the opportunity to improve their singing technique in a relaxed atmosphere. There is no audition and no one is ever asked to sing on their own, unless they want to! Music is taught both by ear and with sheet music. If you do not currently read music, it’s amazing how quickly the dots start to make sense! Singing experience isn’t necessary - enthusiasm is the only attribute required!
